I love this move. The scene with the horse head is one of the strongest movie moments ever. I love the directing and the acting. The Godfather is as close to perfection as cinema will ever get in my opinion. I seriously doubt that I will ever watch a movie I love more than this one, Marlon Brando brings his quintessential performance as Vito Corleone, Al Pacino makes Micheals transformation from honorable war hero to ruthless mafia boss haunting and real. Every other actor is perfectly cast as well but those are just the standouts. The cinematography is simply stunning, inventive and revolutionized the way people shot movies. Every single moment in this movie is iconic and the dialouge is simply amazing, the climax is haunting as well. The Godfather is a timeless tradgey of corruption, I could write a novel on it but to put it into one sentence, the reason this movie is so great is because it does not fail in any aspect: the actors, cinematography, story, dialogue, characters, are all outstanding. The Godfather is a film that delivers in every department.
